CHANDLER, Oklahoma -- Lincoln County residents, north of Chandler, experienced an earthquake Thursday.

The 2.4 magnitude quake occurred just before 7 p.m. No damage was reported, but Joey Wakefield on Lincoln County Emergency Management said the 911 system was overloaded with calls.

Read the USGS Report.

"We've never had so many 911 calls for a quake, ever," Wakefield said.

No injuries were reported, but many residents reported their furniture moved and their houses shook.
